I was born in Savannah, Georgia and grew up enjoying the southern hospitality, mossy oak trees and the sun and sand of the east coast beaches. I attended Georgia Southern University where I received a degree in Early Childhood Education.

My husband and I moved to the Asheville area in 2001, and we enjoyed raising our two daughters in the mountains and spending much of our time enjoying the many outdoor activities this region has to offer. I have a very passionate love for my family and community, and I have been very involved in the local schools, The Junior League of Asheville, local animal shelters and as a board member for downtown Hendersonville. 

My joy unfolds in travel adventures with my husband, savoring live music and spending quality time with my two grown daughters. I can often be found hiking our beautiful area with my two rescue dogs taking in the magnificent waterfalls and mountain views.
